AI, Knowledge Engineering and IoT for Smart Systems

IFIP AICT series
(Approved)

The 7th International Conference on Computer, Communication and Signal Processing 2023 (ICCCSP '23) has been planned to highlight the rapidly developing technologies related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Knowledge Engineering and IoT for Smart Systems. The conference will provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of AI , Knowledge engineering and IoT for smart systems. The conference has been designed to bring a unique opportunity to gain fresh insights through knowledge exchange on the convergence between the AI and IoT communities. With the domain of AI, IoT and Knowledge Engineering ever more dominant now and providing fresh perspective and outlook towards the problem, this conference aids in bringing about the eminent scholars together in providing the best solution. Since 2017, the ICCCSP conference series is Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Society and for the 2021 edition, we have got approval from Springer - International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).
AI is one of the oldest and most exciting subfields of computing, covering such areas as intelligent robotics, intelligent planning and scheduling, model-based reasoning, fault diagnosis, natural language processing, machine translation, knowledge representation and reasoning, knowledge- based systems, knowledge engineering, intelligent agents, machine learning, neural nets, genetic algorithms and knowledge management. TC12 was formed back in 1989. It now has members representing 33 national computer societies, together with representatives of the ACM and the IEEE, and has several working groups covering major topics in AI.
In recent years, TC12 and its Working Groups have sponsored or co-sponsored a range of events worldwide. Details of some of these are given on this website. It has also made major contributions to recent IFIP World Computer Congresses.
ICCCSP 2023 is proud in associating with TC12, our respect to The chair of TC12
Professor Eunika Mercier-Laurent
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN), founded by Padma Bhushan Dr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies, stands out as a premier center of higher learning with a mission of pursuing excellence in education and research. The institutions, with their diverse and dynamic community of students offer a distinctive combination of some of the finest graduate, undergraduate and research programs, accomplished faculty, world class facilities and a residential campus set on a sprawling 250 acres of sylvan surroundings. SSN Institutions provide a variety of stimulating environments for intellectual development, free thinking, and personal growth, challenging its students with dynamic learning opportunities and equipping them with the skills, insights, attitudes and practical experiences that are necessary to take up responsibilities in the society.

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999. Our Mission is to provide quality education to the students and impart IT excellence in them. Apart from making them good technocrats, we also provide individual attention to make them good citizens of our nation to serve the industry and society constructively. Drawing upon SSNCE’s tradition of teaching excellence, the department with 30 faculty members and 480/600 students of UG, PG, PhD research scholars, JRF and Project Staff work closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. The department places equal emphasis on theoretical and experimental Information Technology. The department has state-of-art facilities in various labs, a well-equipped seminar hall and a conference room, classrooms to support e-learning and a department library. The department is Accredited by NBA for the second consecutive term for 5 years for the period 2015-2020.

The primary focus of this workshop is on the recent trends on neuro-symbolic AI, Multimodal data fusion and AI driven health care system. The session on neurosymbolic AI is about combining the strength of statistical AI, symbolic AI and reasoning. The session on multimodal data fusion will give an insight on data capturing, integration and analysis of data from different sources that enables a holistic understanding of a learning process. The AI driven health care brings an industrial experts’ working experience with AI based health care system that builds the pathway for future medicine.
Faculty Coordinators : Dr. A. Shahina , Professor, Dr. T. Sree Sharmila, Associate Professor, SSNCE.
The hands-on session on IoT for smart system will integrate sensing, actuation, signal processing, and control in order to make decisions and create a smart environment . The session will encourage the participants to implement an IoT system using programming language from scratch. A brief discussion on robotics and its design from our experts will trigger the interest to explore more real-time applications.
Faculty Coordinators : Dr. V. Thanikachalam, Associate Professor, Dr. Sofia Jennifer, Assistant Professor, SSNCE.
The Seventh Edition of workshop (TIER-2023) seeks to foster growth and excellence in the emerging NLP community in India. This time. the theme of the workshop is “Dialogue Systems” inspired by ChatGPT, conversational AI system that is recently released by OpenAI. A dialogue system or conversational agent is a computer system intended to converse with a human. ChatGPT is based on GPT-3 language model that can generate responses on the fly, allowing it to have more dynamic and varied conversation. This workshop includes talks by experts on current trends in dialogue systems, GPT architecture and a hands-on session on sentence generation using GPT.
